10 mind Shifts that will rock your world
#1. Your Thoughts Create How You Experience Reality
This is definitely #1 in my book. In Michael Neill’s book, The Inside/Out Revolution, Neill describes the power of the human mind to shape our experience of reality. He emphasizes the revolutionary concept that our minds and eyes are not camera lenses seeing reality as it actually is, but our minds and eyes are actually painting on a canvass. The art on your canvass will determine how you experience and participate with your world. This is not a new age concept. It is simply saying that you are the primary decider of what you create and do with your life. You are the artist of your own being. From the ancient Stoic philosophers and Buddhist sages to modern leading edge scientists and elite coaches, great thinkers have continued to reiterated this concept. Now it's just a matter if we will listen and see what we can collectively create in this world.

#2. Always Replace Fear With Love
I believe love to be the very foundation of existence. Therefore, I’ve learned to check my every thought as to whether it aligns with fear or love. It’s a fairly easy practice, but a difficult habit to create, if you’ve spent your life in a fear based paradigm.
Breaking down a dis-empowering, fear based thought analytically and then creating small action steps to overcome your limitations and create loving steps towards your greatest life can be enough to shift your life dramatically.
#3. Be The End Possibilities NOW
The next time your start a new life practice, realize that the moment you step onto the running trail, start a new entrepreneurial venture, or pick up that instrument, you already contain the end possibilities within you RIGHT NOW. Seeing yourself with the confidence and ability to already accomplish your goal gives you a power beyond what you can imagine, to accomplish your goal with power and ease! Now, in every conversation, interaction, and action, you will carry the energy of knowing what you are capable of, and you will be more able create the possibilities that you desire.
#4. Learn How To Find Flow, Play & Mastery
Flow is a term coined by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi and it refers to a state of activity which is characterized by high performance levels, complete absorption, enjoyment, and total mental and physical alignment with the task at hand. When someone accesses flow states, their learning curve increases by up to 60%. People who find Flow regularly in their daily lives are more likely to report higher levels of happiness and an improved overall passion for living. Finding Flow is a focus of Life Warrior personal training and coaching.
Flow is characterized as being autotelic (auto- self, telos- goal), which means having purpose in and not apart from itself. Something that carries the benefit within its own practice can also be referred to as play. Play is necessary in order to have the motivation to perform a task enough times to achieve mastery. Creating mastery is the ultimate aim of a life warrior.
#5. Mindfulness And Self-Compassion
The moment a person judges, compares, or loses control of their emotional state, their forward progress in whatever task they are doing completely ceases. Mindfulness and self-compassion play a central role in ancient religion and tradition for good reason. Without these components, the accomplishment of any goal or task is greatly impaired. These two things are at the heart of LWC's program! To be a warrior, one must be mindful and non-judgmental of one's self and others.
#6. Find Your Purpose
What makes you come alive? What is your greatest contribution to the world? Through our coaching, we help you align your goals with your greatest purpose in life. Having purpose is so completely necessary for us as human beings that its benefit is almost impossible to overstate. The fact that I can ask most people what their purpose in life is and they look at me without knowing the answer is mind blowing! LWC's highest value is service to others through the realization of our own excellence. To discover one's excellence and put it in service to others is to find one's purpose.
#7. Be A Time Warrior & Kill Psychological Time
When you feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, and nervous, you are living inside psychological time. You are anticipating a future event that hasn’t occurred yet or living in a past even that no longer exists! Considering all the other mind hacks and truths we’ve learned so far, we now know that anything is possible at any moment. So why create a future reality that doesn’t exist yet? Why live inside a past that is gone forever? Step out of psychological time and become a time warrior! Take the sword to past and future, and live completely inside the miraculous now.
#8. Super Hero Posture
Amy Cuddy, from Harvard, did a study on posture, in which she would have people exhibit open power postures or closed dis-empowered postures for 5 minutes. Within just 5 minutes, the closed postured people showed an extreme rise in cortisol and aversion to risk, while the open postured people showed signs of higher testosterone, low levels of stress and willingness to take risks. #9. Create A Growth vs. A Fixed Mindset
When things get tough, do you get excited? Do you rub your hands together, smile and say, “Hmmmmm, what problem do we have here?”. Or do you get insecure and worried that you might never get out of your life scenario? I know that I was the latter for a large part of my life! However, you can choose to switch, right now, to a growth mindset. By learning the downfalls and becoming aware of the fixed mindset and by learning how to change it, you can prime your life for greater success and happiness right now!

#10. Identity, Actions, Feelings
Most people live their lives the opposite way around- Feelings, Actions, Identity. They let their lives become the bi-product of the emotional parts of their brain. This is a huge mistake! We cannot let ourselves be defined by the lower aspects of our nature. We are partly emotional beings, however, emotions are meant to be in service to the capabilities of creation and vision that are unique to human beings. We have a powerful thinking brain that can invent ways of being that currently lie beyond our capabilities. By taking the above mindshifts and putting them into play, we can create a way of being that is in alignment with our highest values. Acting in this new way may seem hard and disingenuous at first, but trust me that this is the one skill that can make us human and even super human beings. We must create who we want to become and act as if that is who we already are. In time, we will become what we dreamed.
